Three times TOP (Tourist Transition Point)
Oldambt counts three Tourist Transition Points (TOP). This is where walking and bicycle routes start and end. Most of the TOP's offer coffee and tea and something sweet to eat. The information display shows a map of the region including walking and cycling routes. The parking lots near the TOP’s are a safe option to park your car.
TOP Pier Oostwold
TOP Pier of Oostwold
The waterfront of the Oldambtmeer is the start of your exploration through Blauwestad and the other areas of Oldambt. The nearest pub is Café de Twee Oldambten in Oostwold. The TOP Pier of Oostwold is located at the Oldambtroute (48km). Reachability: Take exit 47 on the A7 (highway) and continue in the direction of Finsterwolde/Oostwold. The other option is to take exit 45 on the A7 and continue in the direction of Midwolda/Oostwold. You will find the entry of the TOP Pier of Oostwold at the Klinkerstraat in Oostwold.
TOP De Hardenberg
Starting at the parking lot of sports centre De Hardenberg, you will walk straight into nature reserve De Tjamme. De Hardenberg offers refreshments during opening hours. You can cycle the Oldambtroute, which counts 48 km, or choose to follow the cycle junction network. Reachability: Take exit 47 on the A7 and continue in the direction of Finsterwolde/Oostwold. After about 7 kilometres you will see the sports centre De Hardenberg on your right side.
TOP In den Stallen
Hotel-restaurant in den Stallen offers accommodation as well as tasty food to enjoy before or after your activities. Starting at the parking lot, it is easy to ride to Winschoten, or to cycle along the Oldambtroute (48 km) or the International Dollardroute (200 km). Or use the information display to plan your own route. Reachability: Take exit 47 on the A7 and continue in the direction of Beerta. You will find TOP In den Stallen on your right side after about one kilometre.
